What They Do:
The Blankets of Hope team creates unique, handmade blankets to send hope, support and gratitude to America’s wounded and veterans. Used on hospital beds, wheelchairs, and transport litters on medevac flights, Blankets of Hope bring the message that each servicemember is loved and not forgotten. They are included in our First Response Backpacks and Vet Packs sent to Combat Support Hospitals in the war zones, major medical facilities in Germany and around the world, and selected military hospitals and veterans centers here at home.
Why The Blankets Matter:
Wounded soldiers are quickly evacuated from the battlefield, leaving behind their clothing, personal equipment, and their brothers in arms. During this time of pain and upheaval, the Blanket of Hope provides warmth and comfort for the wounded soldier. Most importantly, it shows the soldier that someone cares about him and is thinking and praying for him at that very moment. This is very powerful for a wounded hero… the knowledge that someone cares.

The VAC’s Mission
The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to wounded warriors, veterans and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.
Our priority is on the veterans of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). As capacity allows, our mission will expand to serve veterans of other conflicts.

More and more people realize that protecting themselves from the sun is the smart thing to do. They don’t want leathery skin that’s saggy, spotty or wrinkled. And they certainly don’t want skin cancer - especially melanoma - which still claims more victims worldwide than any other form of cancer. I was inspired to start Solar Eclipse in 1996, after my athletically active husband was diagnosed with a melanoma-related skin cancer. I searched for a sun protective product that would make a real difference in the lives of others who loved the great outdoors. It has to be convenient, affordable and highly effective. Solar Eclipse Active Wear clothing was the result.
Every Solar Eclipse garment is hand-crafted to our high quality standards in the USA, and meets or exceeds the rigorous sun protective certification requirements
